today is the day! we are busy packing and doing last minute things before we head out around 4:00. We have a layover tonight in Ft. Lauderdale, then we officially land in Port-au-Prince tomorrow morning around 9, where we will be picked up by a close friend. I am full of nerves- both "normal travel" nerves, and "I just realized I am moving to Haiti and I have no idea what I'm doing and I miss my family already" nerves...
Last night we had a final family dinner at
Frontera. Afterwards, we spent a little time celebrated my mom's birthday (July 3), and had a family prayer. I was so moved in realizing how much I am going to miss these 5 people that have always been just right down the street from me.
